BFSA Kente Stole Class Of 2021 Price: $30.00Item number 13570347The University of Alabama's Black Faculty & Staff Association (BFSA) was established in the early 1970s with a mission to serve as an advocate for educational equity, with emphasis on African-American students and the professional needs of its members. A portion of the profits from the sale of the BFSA Kente Cord will benefit the Black Faculty and Staff Annual Support fund. This fund shall be used to provide key discretionary support for the BFSA at The University of Alabama. The support fund shall be used for a variety of purposes in support of the program's mission, including, but not limited to, operating expenses for the Black Faculty and Staff Association and scholarships. BFSA continues to have a strong presence at The University of Alabama, and its members include professionals from across the campus. BFSA provides robust programming, professional development, academic resources, and advocacy for the African American faculty, staff, and students. The Association remains committed to working with the U.A. System and University leaders to ensure that U.A. is pursuing equity and excellence for the entire campus community.
